We have no strict timetable to follow delete when meals should be got. Generally, we eat whenever we hungry supper (dinner) is sometimes served at 9:00p.m and breakfast is always a simple cup of coffee and bread.
People and society
Ugandans are generally very social people, happy, kind and welcoming, you will really have a good time with us. Many children will shout at you either welcoming you or bidding you good-bye where ever you will pass, you will have to get used to it or ignore.
There is a belief in Uganda that all white men have a lot of money. As a result many will ask you for money. In such a case you simply ignore.
Stability
Our country is relatively peaceful however it is not good for white man to travel alone at night beyond ten p.m. for fear of being attached by thieves.
White man’s price
People tend to charge higher prices than normal for commodities sold to white men. They think you have a lot. I will help you to learn the prices to avoid being cheated. This will be your first assignment.
You will also learn to bargain for the cheapest price on every commodity you want to buy, including transport fares.
Domestic work
There no machines in our homes, washing, cooking every thing is done manually and shared by all family members, sharing work helps us to be together as a family.
I will try to provide you with as much information as you may request for such that you feel comfortable in Uganda and in our Organization.
